사사기 6-9장

Chapter 6

• 1-40 사사 기드온 (Gideon)

  6.	Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the LORD for help 미디안 사람들 때문에 이스라엘은 매우 가난해졌습니다. 그러자 이스라엘 자손들은 여호와께 부르짖었습니다.

  7.	When the Israelites cried to the LORD because of Midian 이스라엘 자손들이 미디안 사람들 때문에 여호와께 부르짖을 때

  12.	When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." 여호와의 천사가 기드온에게 나타나 말했습니다. “그대, 용맹스러운 용사여, 여호와께서 너와 함께하신다

  32.	So that day they called Gideon "Jerub-Baal," saying, "Let Baal contend with him," because he broke down Baal's altar.그리하여 “바알로 하여금 스스로 변호하게 하라”라고 해 그날에 그들은 기드온을 여룹바알이라고 불렀습니다. 그가 바알의 제단을 허물었기 때문입니다

  39.

  Then Gideon said to God, "Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece. This time make the fleece dry and the ground covered with dew."그러자 기드온이 하나님께 말했습니다. “제게 화를 내지 마십시오. 제가 한 번 더 말하겠습니다. 부디 한 번만 더 양털로 시험하게 해 주십시오. 양털만 말라 있게 하시고 땅바닥 모두에는 이슬이 있게 해 주십시오.”

  40.	That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew그날 밤 하나님께서 그렇게 하셨습니다. 양털만 말라 있고 땅바닥에는 온통 이슬이 있었습니다..

Chapter 7

• 1-25 기드온이 미디안 사람을 쫓아냄 (Gideon Defeats the Midianites)

  7.	The LORD said to Gideon, "With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all the other men go, each to his own place."

  여호와께서 기드온에게 말씀하셨습니다. “물을 핥아먹은 사람 300명으로 내가 너희를 구원하고 미디안 사람들을 네 손에 넘겨주겠다. 다른 모든 백성들은 각각 자기가 사는 곳으로 돌려보내라.”

  22.

  When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the LORD caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords. The army fled to Beth Shittah toward Zererah as far as the border of Abel Meholah near Tabbath.그들이 300개의 나팔을 불자 여호와께서는 미디안의 온 군대가 서로 자기 동료를 칼로 치게 하셨습니다. 그들 군대가 스레라를 향해 벧 싯다까지, 또 답밧 근처의 아벨므홀라 경계선까지 도망쳤습니다

  25.

  They also captured two of the Midianite leaders, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was by the Jordan.그리고 그들은 미디안의 두 지휘관, 곧 오렙과 스엡을 체포해 오렙을 오렙 바위에서 죽이고 스엡을 스엡 포도주 틀에서 죽이고 미디안 사람들을 추격했습니다. 그들은 오렙과 스엡의 머리를 요단 강 건너편에 있던 기드온에게 갖고 왔습니다

Chapter 8

• 1-21 기드온이 세바와 살문나를 무찌름(Zebah and Zalmunna)

  10.	Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor with a force of about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of the armies of the eastern peoples; a hundred and twenty thousand swordsmen had fallen.이 때에 세바와 살문나가 갈골에 있는데 동방 사람의 모든 군대 중에 칼 든 자 십이만 명이 죽었고 그 남은 만 오천 명 가량은 그들을 따라와서 거기에 있더라

  11.	Gideon went up by the route of the nomads east of Nobah and Jogbehah and fell upon the unsuspecting army.적군이 안심하고 있는 중에 기드온이 노바와 욕브하 동쪽 장막에 거주하는 자의 길로 올라가서 그 적진을 치니

  12.	Zebah and Zalmunna, the two kings of Midian, fled, but he pursued them and captured them, routing their entire army.세바와 살문나가 도망하는지라 기드온이 그들의 뒤를 추격하여 미디안의 두 왕 세바와 살문나를 사로잡고 그 온 진영을 격파하니라

• 22-27 기드온의 에봇 (Gideon’s Ephod)

  26.

  The weight of the gold rings he asked for came to seventeen hundred shekels, not counting the ornaments, the pendants and the purple garments worn by the kings of Midian or the chains that were on their camels' necks.기드온이 요청한 금 귀고리의 무게가 금 천칠백 세겔이요 그 외에 또 초승달 장식들과 패물과 미디안 왕들이 입었던 자색 의복과 또 그 외에 그들의 낙타 목에 둘렀던 사슬이 있었더라

  27.	Gideon made the gold into an ephod, which he placed in Ophrah, his town. All Israel prostituted themselves by worshiping it there, and it became a snare to Gideon and his family.기드온이 그 금으로 에봇 하나를 만들어 자기의 성읍 오브라에 두었더니 온 이스라엘이 그것을 음란하게 위하므로 그것이 기드온과 그의 집에 올무가 되니라

• 28-35 기드온이 죽음 (Gideon’s Death)

  33.	No sooner had Gideon died than the Israelites again prostituted themselves to the Baals. They set up Baal-Berith as their god and 기드온이 이미 죽으매 이스라엘 자손이 돌아서서 바알들을 따라가 음행하였으며 또 바알브릿을 자기들의 신으로 삼고

Chapter 9

• 1-57 아비멜렉 (Abimelek)

  5.	He went to his father's home in Ophrah and on one stone murdered his seventy brothers, the sons of Jerub-Baal. But Jotham, the youngest son of Jerub-Baal, escaped by hiding.

  오브라에 있는 그의 아버지의 집으로 가서 여룹바알의 아들 곧 자기 형제 칠십 명을 한 바위 위에서 죽였으되 다만 여룹바알의 막내 아들 요담은 스스로 숨었으므로 남으니라

  6.	Then all the citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo gathered beside the great tree at the pillar in Shechem to crown Abimelech king.

  세겜의 모든 사람과 밀로 모든 족속이 모여서 세겜에 있는 상수리나무 기둥 곁에서 아비멜렉을 왕으로 삼으니라

  23.	God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the citizens of Shechem, who acted treacherously against Abimelech.하나님이 아비멜렉과 세겜 사람들 사이에 악한 영을 보내시매 세겜 사람들이 아비멜렉을 배반하였으니

  52.	Abimelech went to the tower and stormed it. But as he approached the entrance to the tower to set it on fire,

  아비멜렉이 망대 앞에 이르러 공격하며 망대의 문에 가까이 나아가서 그것을 불사르려 하더니

  53.	a woman dropped an upper millstone on his head and cracked his skull 한 여인이 맷돌 위짝을 아비멜렉의 머리 위에 내려 던져 그의 두개골을 깨뜨리니
