신명기 1-4장

Chapter 1

• 1-8 여호와께서 호렙을 떠나라 명령하심 (The Command to Leave Horeb)

  6.	The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, "You have stayed long enough at this mountain.

  “우리 하나님 여호와께서 호렙 산에서 우리에게 말씀하셨다. ‘너희는 이 산에서 오랫동안 머물러 있었다.

  7.	Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates.

  진영을 철수하고 아모리 사람들의 산지로 들어가라. 아라바와 산지들과 서쪽 산 아래 평지와 그 남쪽과 해변을 따라 사는 모든 이웃 민족들과 가나안 사람들의 땅과 레바논으로 저 큰 강 유프라테스까지 가라.

• 9-18 모세가 지도자들을 세움 (The Appointment of Leaders)

  13.	Choose some wise, understanding and respected men from each of your tribes, and I will set them over you.현명하고 통찰력 있고 존경할 만한 사람들을 너희 각 지파에서 뽑으라. 그러면 내가 그들로 너희를 다스리게 할 것이다

• 19-25 이스라엘이 정탐꾼을 보냄 (Spies Sent Out)

  22.	Then all of you came to me and said, "Let us send men ahead to spy out the land for us and bring back a report about the route we are to take and the towns we will come to그러자 너희 모두는 내게 와서 말했다. ‘정탐꾼을 아모리 땅에 먼저 보내 우리가 어떤 길을 택할지, 우리가 갈 그 성들이 어떤지 보고 돌아오게 합시다

• 26-46 이스라엘이 여호와께 반역함 (Rebellion Against the Lord)

  26.	But you were unwilling to go up; you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God

  그러나 너희는 올라가고 싶어 하지 않았다. 너희는 너희 하나님 여호와의 명령을 거역한 것이다

Chapter 2

• 1-23 광야에서의 방랑 생활 (Wanderings in the Wilderness)

  7.

  The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast desert. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.네 하나님 여호와께서 네가 하는 모든 일에 네게 복을 주시고 네가 이 큰 광야에 두루 다님을 알고 네 하나님 여호와께서 이 사십 년 동안을 너와 함께 하셨으므로 네게 부족함이 없었느니라 하시기로

• 24-37 헤스본 왕 시혼을 멸망시킴 (Defeat of Sihon King of Heshbon)

  31.	The LORD said to me, "See, I have begun to deliver Sihon and his country over to you. Now begin to conquer and possess his land."그러나 헤스본 왕 시혼은 우리가 지나가는 것을 허락하지 않았다. 우리 하나님 여호와께서 시혼의 성질을 강퍅하게 하시고 그 마음을 고집스럽게 하셔서 오늘날 그분이 하신 것처럼 너희 손에 그를 넘겨주시려는 것이었다.

  

Chapter 3

• 1-11 바산 왕 옥을 멸망시킴 (Defeat of Og King of Bashan)

  3.	So the LORD our God also gave into our hands Og king of Bashan and all his army. We struck them down, leaving no survivors.우리 하나님 여호와께서 바산 왕 옥과 그의 모든 백성을 우리 손에 넘기시매 우리가 그들을 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하였느니라

• 12-20 요단 강 동쪽 땅의 분배를 회상함 (Division of the Land)

  12.	Of the land that we took over at that time, I gave the Reubenites and the Gadites the territory north of Aroer by the Arnon Gorge, including half the hill country of Gilead, together with its towns.그 때에 우리가 이 땅을 얻으매 아르논 골짜기 곁의 아로엘에서부터 길르앗 산지 절반과 그 성읍들을 내가 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손에게 주었고

  13.	The rest of Gilead and also all of Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half tribe of Manasseh. (The whole region of Argob in Bashan used to be known as a land of the Rephaites.길르앗의 남은 땅과 옥의 나라였던 아르곱 온 지방 곧 온 바산으로는 내가 므낫세 반 지파에게 주었노라 (바산을 옛적에는 르바임의 땅이라 부르더니

• 21-29 모세는 요단 강을 건너지 못함(Moses Forbidden to Cross the Jordan)

  27.	Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan.너는 비스가 산 꼭대기에 올라가서 눈을 들어 동서남북을 바라고 네 눈으로 그 땅을 바라보라 너는 이 요단을 건너지 못할 것임이니라

Chapter 4

• 1-14 순종하라고 명령함 (Obedience Commanded)

  2.	Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.내가 너희에게 명령하는 말을 너희는 가감하지 말고 내가 너희에게 내리는 너희 하나님 여호와의 명령을 지키라

• 15-31 우상숭배는 절대로 안 됨(Idolatry Forbidden)

  23.	Be careful not to forget the covenant of the LORD your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the LORD your God has forbidden.너희는 스스로 삼가 너희의 하나님 여호와께서 너희와 세우신 언약을 잊지 말고 네 하나님 여호와께서 금하신 어떤 형상의 우상도 조각하지 말라

• 32-40  여호와는 하나님이심 (The Lord Is God)

  39.	Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other그런즉 너는 오늘 위로 하늘에나 아래로 땅에 오직 여호와는 하나님이시요 다른 신이 없는 줄을 알아 명심하고

• 41-49 도망해 피할 수 있는 성들 (Cities of Refuge)

  42.	to which anyone who had killed a person could flee if he had unintentionally killed his neighbor without malice aforethought. He could flee into one of these cities and save his life.

  이는 과거에 원한이 없이 부지중에 살인한 자가 그 곳으로 도피하게 하기 위함이며 그 중 한 성읍으로 도피한 자가 그의 생명을 보전하게 하기 위함이라
