| 12. | We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.우리는 자화자찬하는 사람들의 아류가 되거나 그런 사람들과 비교하려 하지 않습니다. 그들은 자기들끼리 재고 자기들끼리 비교하니 지혜롭지 못합니다. |
| 13. | We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has assigned to us, a field that reaches even to you.그러나 우리는 정도 이상으로 자랑하지 않고 오직 하나님께서 정해 주신 분량의 범위 안에서 자랑하려고 합니다. 우리의 자랑은 곧 우리가 여러분에게까지 다다른 정도입니다. |
| 14. | We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ.우리는 여러분에게 가지 못할 사람들로서 스스로 과신해 나아갔던 것이 아닙니다. 우리는 그리스도의 복음 안에서 여러분에게까지 갔던 것입니다. |

| 16. | so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in another man's territory.그래서 결국 여러분의 지역 너머까지 복음을 전파하기 위한 것이지 다른 사람의 영역에 이미 마련된 것들을 가지고 자랑하기 위한 것이 아닙니다 |
| 17. | But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.자랑하는 사람은 주 안에서 자랑하도록 하십시오" |
| 18. | For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends옳다 인정함을 받는 사람은 자화자찬하는 사람이 아니라 오직 주께서 칭찬하시는 사람입니다. |
| 1. | And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. |
| 2. | Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. |
| 3. | For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, |
| 4. | they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. |
| 5. | And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will. |
| 6. | So we urged Titus, since he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. |
| 7. | But just as you excel in everything -- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us -- see that you also excel in this grace of giving. |
| 8. | I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. |
| 9. | For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. |
| 10. | And here is my advice about what is best for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. |
| 11. | Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. |
| 12. | For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have. |
| 13. | Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. |
| 14. | At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, |
| 15. | as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little." |
| 8. | Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it -- I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while --내가 편지로 인해 여러분을 근심하게 했다 할지라도 지금은 후회하지 않습니다. 내 편지가 여러분을 잠시 상심하게 했다는 것을 내가 알고 후회하기는 했으나 |
| 9. | yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. | 10. | Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.하나님의 뜻대로 하는 근심은 구원에 이르는 회개를 가져오므로 후회할 것이 없습니다. 그러나 세상 근심은 죽음을 가져옵니다. |
| 11. | See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. | 2. | Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one. 여러분은 우리를 받아 주십시오. 우리는 아무에게도 부당한 일을 하지 않았습니다. 아무에게도 손해를 입히지 않았습니다. 아무에게도 속여 빼앗는 일을 하지 않았습니다. |

| 5. | For when we came into Macedonia, this body of ours had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn -- conflicts on the outside, fears within.우리가 마케도니아에 이르렀을 때 우리의 육체는 편치 못했고 사방으로는 환난을 당했습니다. 밖으로는 다툼이 있었고 안으로는 두려움이 있었습니다. |
| 6. | But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, |
| 7. | and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. | 15. | What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?그리스도와 벨리알이 어떻게 하나가 되며 믿는 사람과 믿지 않는 사람이 어떻게 함께 몫을 나눌 수 있겠습니까? |
| 16. | What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." 하나님의 성전과 우상들이 어떻게 하나가 될 수 있겠습니까? 우리는 살아 계신 하나님의 성전이기 때문입니다. 이것은 하나님께서 말씀하신 바와 같습니다. “내가 그들 가운데 거하고 그들 가운데 행할 것이니 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 될 것이다 |
| 17. | "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."그러므로 너희는 그들 가운데서 나와 그들과 떨어져 있으라. 주께서 말씀하신다. 너희는 부정한 것을 만지지 말라. 그러면 내가 너희를 영접할 것이다 |
| 18. | "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.나는 너희의 아버지가 되고 너희는 내 자녀들이 될 것이다. 전능하신 주께서 말씀하신다" |

| 1. | Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.그러므로 사랑하는 여러분, 우리가 이 약속을 가지고 있으니 하나님을 두려워함으로 온전히 거룩함을 이루면서 육과 영의 모든 더러움에서 떠나 우리 자신을 깨끗하게 합시다 |
| 11. | Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.그러므로 우리는 주께서 두려운 분이심을 알므로 사람들에게 권면합니다. 우리는 이미 하나님 앞에 드러나 있습니다. 나는 여러분의 양심에도 우리가 그렇게 드러나 있기를 바랍니다. |

| 13. | If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you |

| 14. | For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. |

| 15. | And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.그가 모든 사람을 대신해 죽은 것은 산 사람들로 더 이상 자신을 위해 살지 않고 자신을 대신해 죽었다가 살아나신 그분을 위해 살게 하시려는 것입니다. |
| 16. | So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.그러므로 이제부터는 우리가 아무도 육체를 따라 알려고 하지 않습니다. 전에는 우리가 그리스도를 육체를 따라 알았으나 이제는 더 이상 그렇게 알지 않습니다. |
| 17. | Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come 그러므로 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물입니다. 옛것은 지나갔으니 보십시오. 새것이 됐습니다! |
| 18. | All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:모든 것은 하나님께로부터 왔습니다. 하나님은 그리스도를 통해서 우리를 그분과 화목하게 하시고 또한 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 맡겨 주셨습니다. |
| 19. | that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.곧 하나님께서는 사람들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 않으시고 세상을 그리스도 안에서 그분과 화목하게 하셨으며 또한 우리에게 화목하게 하는 말씀을 맡겨 주신 것입니다. |
| 20. | We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.그러므로 우리는 그리스도를 대신하는 사절이 돼 하나님께서 우리를 통해서 권면하시는 것같이 그리스도를 대신해 여러분에게 간곡히 부탁합니다. 여러분은 하나님과 화목하십시오. |
| 21. | God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.하나님께서는 죄를 알지도 못하신 분에게 우리 대신 죄를 짊어지게 하셨습니다. 이는 우리로 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하시려는 것입니다. |
| 1. | As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain 하나님과 함께 일하는 우리가 여러분에게 권면합니다. 여러분은 하나님의 은혜를 헛되게 받지 마십시오. |

| 7. | in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left 진리의 말씀과 하나님의 능력으로 일합니다. 또 우리는 오른손과 왼손에 의의 무기를 들고; |
| 8. | through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors 영광과 모욕, 비난과 칭찬을 동시에 겪으며 일합니다. 우리는 속이는 사람 같으나 진실하고; |
| 9. | known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed무명한 사람 같으나 유명하고 죽은 사람 같으나 보십시오! 살아 있습니다. 우리가 징벌을 받는 사람 같으나 죽임을 당하지 않 고; |
| 10. | sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.근심하는 사람 같으나 항상 기뻐하고 가난한 사람 같으나 많은 사람을 부유하게 합니다. 아무것도 없는 사람 같으나 모든 것을 가진 사람입니다. |
| 11. | We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. |

| 12. | We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us 여러분이 우리의 마음 안에서 좁아진 것이 아니라 여러분의 마음이 스스로 좁아진 것입니다. |
| 13. | As a fair exchange -- I speak as to my children -- open wide your hearts also 내가 자녀에게 말하듯이 말합니다. 여러분도 보답하는 양으로 마음을 넓히십시오.. |
| 1. | Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.우리는 땅 위에 있는 우리의 장막집이 무너지면 하나님께서 손으로 지으신 집, 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아닌 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 것을 알고 있습니다. |
| 2. | Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling우리는 하늘로부터 오는 우리의 집으로 덧입기를 간절히 사모하며 이 장막 집에서 탄식하고 있습니다, |
| 3. | because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 만일 우리가 이 장막을 벗을지라도 벗은 사람들로 발견되지 않을 것입니. |
| 4. | For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.우리는 이 장막에 살면서 무거운 짐을 지고 탄식하고 있습니다. 우리는 이 장막을 벗고자 하는 것이 아니라 그 위에 덧입고자 하는 것입니다. 이는 죽을 것이 생명에게 삼켜지게 하려는 것입니다 |
| 5. | Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.우리를 위해 이것을 이뤄 주시고 우리에게 성령이라는 보증을 주신 분은 하나님이십니다 |
| 6. | Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.그러므로 우리는 항상 담대합니다. 우리가 몸 안에 거하는 동안에는 주에게서 떠나 따로 거한다는 것을 압니다. |
| 7. | We live by faith, not by sight우리는 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 행하지 않습니다.. |
| 8. | We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord 우리가 담대하게 원하는 것은 차라리 몸을 떠나 주와 함께 거하는 것입니다.. |
| 9. | So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it그러므로 우리가 몸 안에 있든지 몸을 떠나 있든지 주를 기쁘게 하려고 힘씁니다. |
| 10. | For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad 우리 모두가 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 드러나야 하기 때문입니다. 그 결과 각기 선악 간에 몸으로 행한 것에 대해 보응을 받게 될 것입니다.. |
| 13. | It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,성경에 기록되기를 “내가 믿었으므로 말했다”고 한 것처럼 우리는 바로 그 믿음의 영을 가지고 있으므로 우리도 믿고 또한 말하기도 하는 것입니다 |
| 14. | because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.주 예수를 살리신 이가 예수와 함께 우리도 살리시고 여러분과 함께 그 앞에 서게 하실 것을 우리가 알기 때문입니다. |
| 15. | All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.모든 것은 여러분을 위한 것입니다. 이는 하나님의 은혜가 더 많은 사람들에게 풍성해져서 넘치는 감사로 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려는 것입니다 |
| 16. | Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.그러므로 우리는 낙심하지 않습니다. 우리의 겉사람은 쇠할지라도 우리의 속사람은 날마다 새로워지고 있습니다 |
| 17. | For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.우리가 잠시 당하는 가벼운 고난은 그것 모두를 능가하고도 남을 영원한 영광을 우리에게 이뤄 줄 것입니다 |
| 18. | So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. |
