사사기 1-5장

Chapter 1

• 1-7 유다와 시므온이 아도니 베섹을 잡음 (Judah and Simeonites caught Adoni-Bezek )

  7.

  Then Adoni-Bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them." They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.그러자 아도니베섹은 "내가 일흔 명이나 되는 왕들의 엄지손가락과 엄지발가락을 잘라 내고, 나의 식탁 밑에서 부스러기를 주워서 먹게 하였더니, 하나님이, 내가 한 그대로 나에게 갚으시는구나!" 하고 탄식하였다. 그는 예루살렘으로 끌려가서 거기에서 죽었다.

• 8-10 유다 지파가 예루살렘과 헤브론을 치다

  10.	They advanced against the Canaanites living in Hebron (formerly called Kiriath Arba) and defeated Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai.또 유다 자손은 헤브론에 사는 가나안 사람을 쳤다. 헤브론은 전에 기럇 아르바라고 불리던 곳이다. 거기에서 그들은 세새와 아히만과 달매를 무찔렀다.

• 11-15 옷니엘이 드빌을 정복하다

  13.	Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it; so Caleb gave his daughter Acsah to him in marriage.갈렙의 아우 그나스의 아들인 옷니엘이 그 곳을 점령하였으므로, 갈렙은 그를 자기의 딸 악사와 결혼시켰다

• 16-21 유다와 베냐민 지파가 승리함

  17.	Then the men of Judah went with the Simeonites their brothers and attacked the Canaanites living in Zephath, and they totally destroyed the city. Therefore it was called Hormah.그리고 유다 지파는 그들의 형제인 시므온 지파와 함께 가서 스밧에 살고 있는 가나안 사람들을 무찔러서 그 도시를 전멸시켰습니다. 그 때문에 그 도시 이름이 호르마라고 불렸습니다.

  21.	The Benjamites, however, failed to dislodge the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem; to this day the Jebusites live there with the Benjamites.그러나 베냐민 지파는 예루살렘에 살고 있던 여부스 사람들을 쫓아내지 못했습니다. 그리하여 오늘날까지도 여부스 사람들이 베냐민 지파와 예루살렘에서 함께 살고 있는 것입니다

• 22-26 에브라임과 므낫세 지파가 베델을 치다

  22.	Now the house of Joseph attacked Bethel, and the LORD was with them이제 요셉 가문이 벧엘을 공격하려고 올라갔습니다. 여호와께서 그들과 함께하셨습니다..

• 27-36 쫓아내지 못한 가나안 족속

  27.

  But Manasseh did not drive out the people of Beth Shan or Taanach or Dor or Ibleam or Megiddo and their surrounding settlements, for the Canaanites were determined to live in that land.므낫세 지파가 벧스안과 그 주변 마을들, 다아낙과 그 주변 마을들, 돌에 살던 사람들과 그 주변 마을들, 이블르암에 살던 사람들과 그 주변 마을들, 므깃도에 살던 사람들과 그 주변 마을들을 몰아내지 못해 가나안 사람들이 그 땅에 살 수 있었습니다.

Chapter 2

• 1-10 보김에서 여호와의 천사가 나타남 (The Angel of the Lord at Bokim)

  1.	The angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, `I will never break my covenant with you,

  여호와의 천사가 길갈에서 보김으로 올라가 말했습니다. “내가 너희를 이집트에서 데려와 내가 너희 조상들에게 약속했던 땅으로 인도했다. 내가 말했다. ‘나는 너희와 맺은 내 언약을 결코 어기지 않을 것이다.

• 10-23 불순종과 패배 (Disobedience and Defeat)

  18.	Whenever the LORD raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the LORD had compassion on them as they groaned under those who oppressed and afflicted them.

  여호와께서 그들에게 사사들을 세우셨을 때 여호와께서는 사사와 함께하실 뿐만 아니라 사사가 살아 있는 동안에 그들의 원수들의 손에서 이스라엘 자손들을 구해 주셨습니다. 이는 그들을 억압하고 핍박하는 사람들 밑에서 신음하는 이스라엘 자손을 여호와께서 불쌍히 여기셨기 때문입니다.

  10.	After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up, who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel.그 세대가 모두 조상 곁으로 돌아갔고 그들을 뒤이어 여호와를 모르고 여호와께서 이스라엘을 위해 행하신 일도 전혀 모르는 다른 세대가 자라났습니다.

Chapter 3

• 1-6 여호와께서 민족들을 남겨두심

  2.	(he did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience):이전에 전쟁을 경험하지 못한 이스라엘 자손들에게 전쟁을 가르치기 위한 것이었습니다

  3.	the five rulers of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the Lebanon mountains from Mount Baal Hermon to Lebo Hamath.이들은 블레셋의 다섯 군주들, 모든 가나안 사람들, 시돈 사람들 그리고 바알 헤르몬 산에서부터 하맛 입구까지의 레바논 산맥에 살고 있던 히위 사람들이었습니다.

• 7-11 사사 옷니엘 (Othniel)

  9.	But when they cried out to the LORD, he raised up for them a deliverer, Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, who saved them.그러나 이스라엘 자손들이 여호와께 부르짖을 때 여호와께서는 이스라엘 자손들을 위해 구원자를 일으켜 세우셨습니다. 여호와께서는 갈렙의 동생이자 그나스의 아들인 옷니엘을 통해서 그들을 구원하셨습니다.

• 12-30 사사 에훗 (Ehud)

  15.

  Again the Israelites cried out to the LORD, and he gave them a deliverer -- Ehud, a left-handed man, the son of Gera the Benjamite. The Israelites sent him with tribute to Eglon king of Moab.그러나 여호와께서는 이스라엘 자손들이 여호와께 부르짖을 때 베냐민 지파 게라의 아들인 왼손잡이 에훗을 그들의 구원자로 일으켜 세워 주셨습니다. 이스라엘자손들은 모압 왕 에글론에게 바칠 선물을 그를 통해 보냈습니다.

• 31 삼갈 (Shamgar)

  31.	After Ehud came Shamgar son of Anath, who struck down six hundred Philistines with an oxgoad. He too saved Israel.아낫의 아들 삼갈이 에훗의 뒤를 이었는데 그는 소를 모는 막대기로 블레셋 사람600명을 죽이고 그 또한 이스라엘을 구원했습니다

Chapter 4

• 1-24 드보라가 이스라엘을 구원함 (Deborah)

  4.	Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time 랍비돗의 아내인 여 예언자 드보라가 사사로서 이스라엘을 통치했습니다..

  13.	Sisera gathered together his nine hundred iron chariots and all the men with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim to the Kishon River.그러자 시스라는 900대에 달하는 쇠로 만든 그의 전차 모두와 그와 함께 있던 모든 백성들을 소집해서 하로셋 학고임에서 기손 강으로 갔습니다.

  14.

  Then Deborah said to Barak, "Go! This is the day the LORD has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the LORD gone ahead of you?" So Barak went down Mount Tabor, followed by ten thousand men.그때 드보라가 바락에게 말했습니다. “일어나거라! 오늘이 여호와께서 시스라를 네 손에 주신 날이다. 보아라. 여호와께서 너를 인도하신다.” 그래서 바락은 다볼산으로부터 내려갔습니다. 1만 명이 그의 뒤를 따랐습니다.

Chapter 5

• 1-31 드보라와 바락의 노래 (The Song of Deborah Barak)

  1.	On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song 이 날에 드보라와 아비노암의 아들 바락이 노래하여 이르되:

  2.	"When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves -- praise the LORD!이스라엘의 지도자들이 앞장서고 백성들이 자원해 전쟁에 나갈 때 여호와를 찬양하라!

  3.	"Hear this, you kings! Listen, you rulers! I will sing to the LORD, I will sing; I will make music to the LORD, the God of Israel.왕들아, 들으라! 군주들아, 귀 기울이라! 내가 여호와께 노래하리라. 내가 노래하리라. 내가 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하리라.
