Chapter 10

• 1-17 아합의 집안이 멸망함 (Ahab’s Family Killed)

  7.	When the letter arrived, these men took the princes and slaughtered all seventy of them. They put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu in Jezreel. 편지가 그들에게 이르매 그들이 왕자 칠십 명을 붙잡아 죽이고 그들의 머리를 광주리에 담아 이스르엘 예후에게로 보내니라

  8.	When the messenger arrived, he told Jehu, "They have brought the heads of the princes." Then Jehu ordered, "Put them in two piles at the entrance of the city gate until morning."사자가 와서 예후에게 전하여 이르되 그 무리가 왕자들의 머리를 가지고 왔나이다 이르되 두 무더기로 쌓아 내일 아침까지 문 어귀에 두라 하고

• 18-36 바알의 제사장들의 죽임당함 (Servants of Baal Killed)

  19.

  Now summon all the prophets of Baal, all his ministers and all his priests. See that no one is missing, because I am going to hold a great sacrifice for Baal. Anyone who fails to come will no longer live." But Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the ministers of Baal. 그러므로 내가 이제 큰 제사를 바알에게 드리고자 하노니 바알의 모든 선지자와 모든 섬기는 자와 모든 제사장들을 한 사람도 빠뜨리지 말고 불러 내게로 나아오게 하라 모든 오지 아니하는 자는 살려 두지 아니하리라 하니 이는 예후가 바알 섬기는 자를 멸하려 하여 계책을 씀이라

  25.

  As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he ordered the guards and officers: "Go in and kill them; let no one escape." So they cut them down with the sword. The guards and officers threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the temple of Baal. 번제 드리기를 다하매 예후가 호위병과 지휘관들에게 이르되 들어가서 한 사람도 나가지 못하게 하고 죽이라 하매 호위병과 지휘관들이 칼로 그들을 죽여 밖에 던지고

Chapter 11

• 1-21 아달랴와 요아스 (Athaliah and Joash)

  2.

  But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes, who were about to be murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah; so he was not killed. 요람 왕의 딸 아하시야의 누이 여호세바가 아하시야의 아들 요아스를 왕자들이 죽임을 당하는 중에서 빼내어 그와 그의 유모를 침실에 숨겨 아달랴를 피하여 죽임을 당하지 아니하게 한지라

  3.	He remained hidden with his nurse at the temple of the LORD for six years while Athaliah ruled the land. 요아스가 그와 함께 여호와의 성전에 육 년을 숨어 있는 동안에 아달랴가 나라를 다스렸더라

  16.	So they seized her as she reached the place where the horses enter the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.이에 그의 길을 열어 주매 그가 왕궁의 말이 다니는 길로 가다가 거기서 죽임을 당하였더라

  21.	Joash was seven years old when he began to reign 요아스가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 칠 세였더라

Chapter 12

• 1-21 요아스가 성전을 보수함 (Joash Repairs the Temple)

  10.	Whenever they saw that there was a large amount of money in the chest, the royal secretary and the high priest came, counted the money that had been brought into the temple of the LORD and put it into bags. 이에 그 궤 가운데 은이 많은 것을 보면 왕의 서기와 대제사장이 올라와서 여호와의 성전에 있는 대로 그 은을 계산하여 봉하고

  11.	When the amount had been determined, they gave the money to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple. With it they paid those who worked on the temple of the LORD -- the carpenters and builders, 그 달아본 은을 일하는 자 곧 여호와의 성전을 맡은 자의 손에 넘기면 그들은 또 여호와의 성전을 수리하는 목수와 건축하는 자들에게 주고

  12.	the masons and stonecutters. They purchased timber and dressed stone for the repair of the temple of the LORD, and met all the other expenses of restoring the temple. 또 미장이와 석수에게 주고 또 여호와의 성전 파손한 데를 수리할 재목과 다듬은 돌을 사게 하며 그 성전을 수리할 모든 물건을 위하여 쓰게 하였으되

Chapter 13

• 1-9 이스라엘 왕 여호아하스 (Jehoahaz King of Israel)

  1.	In the twenty-third year of Joash son of Ahaziah king of Judah, Jehoahaz son of Jehu became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seventeen years. 유다의 왕 아하시야의 아들 요아스의 제이십삼 년에 예후의 아들 여호아하스가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 십칠 년간 다스리며

  7.	Nothing had been left of the army of Jehoahaz except fifty horsemen, ten chariots and ten thousand foot soldiers, for the king of Aram had destroyed the rest and made them like the dust at threshing time. 아람 왕이 여호아하스의 백성을 멸절하여 타작 마당의 티끌 같이 되게 하고 마병 오십 명과 병거 열 대와 보병 만 명 외에는 여호아하스에게 남겨 두지 아니하였더라

• 10-25 이스라엘 왕 요아스 (Jehoash King of Israel)

  10.	In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash son of Jehoahaz became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned sixteen years. 유다의 왕 요아스의 제삼십칠 년에 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 십육 년간 다스리며

  "Open the east window," he said, and he opened it. "Shoot!" Elisha said, and he shot. "The LORD's arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!" Elisha declared. "You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek." 이르되 동쪽 창을 여소서 하여 곧 열매 엘리사가 이르되 쏘소서 하는지라 곧 쏘매 엘리사가 이르되 이는 여호와를 위한 구원의 화살 곧 아람에 대한 구원의 화살이니 왕이 아람 사람을 멸절하도록 아벡에서 치리이다 하니라

  21.	Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet. 마침 사람을 장사하는 자들이 그 도적 떼를 보고 그의 시체를 엘리사의 묘실에 들이던지매 시체가 엘리사의 뼈에 닿자 곧 회생하여 일어섰더라

Chapter 14

• 1-22 유다 왕 아마샤 (Amaziah King of Judah)

  1.	In the second year of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel, Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah began to reign. 이스라엘의 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스 제이년에 유다의 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 왕이 되니

  3.	He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father David had done. In everything he followed the example of his father Joash. 아마샤가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 그의 조상 다윗과는 같지 아니하였으며 그의 아버지 요아스가 행한 대로 다 행하였어도

  13.

  Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate -- a section about six hundred feet long. 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 벧세메스에서 아하시야의 손자 요아스의 아들 유다 왕 아마샤를 사로잡고 예루살렘에 이르러 예루살렘 성벽을 에브라임 문에서부터 성 모퉁이 문까지 사백 규빗을 헐고

  14.	He took all the gold and silver and all the articles found in the temple of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace. He also took hostages and returned to Samaria. 또 여호와의 성전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 금 은과 모든 기명을 탈취하고 또 사람을 볼모로 잡고서 사마리아로 돌아갔더라

• 23-29 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 2세 (Jeroboam II King of Israel)

  23.	In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel became king in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. 유다의 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤 제십오년에 이스라엘의 왕 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 사마리아에서 왕이 되어 사십일 년간 다스렸으며

  24.	He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit. 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하였더라
