사무엘상 16-19장

Chapter 16

• 1-13 사무엘이 다윗을 왕으로 세움 (Samuel Anoints David)

  1.

  The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king." 여호와께서 사무엘에게 이르시되 내가 이미 사울을 버려 이스라엘 왕이 되지 못하게 하였거늘 네가 그를 위하여 언제까지 슬퍼하겠느냐 너는 뿔에 기름을 채워 가지고 가라 내가 너를 베들레헴 사람 이새에게로 보내리니 이는 내가 그의 아들 중에서 한 왕을 보았느니라 하시는지라

  12.	So he sent and had him brought in. He was ruddy, with a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the LORD said, "Rise and anoint him; he is the one."이에 사람을 보내어 그를 데려오매 그의 빛이 붉고 눈이 빼어나고 얼굴이 아름답더라 여호와께서 이르시되 이가 그니 일어나 기름을 부으라 하시는지라

• 14-23 다윗이 사울을 섬기게 됨 (David in Saul’s Service)

  16.	Let our lord command his servants here to search for someone who can play the harp. He will play when the evil spirit from God comes upon you, and you will feel better."원하건대 우리 주께서는 당신 앞에서 모시는 신하들에게 명령하여 수금을 잘 타는 사람을 구하게 하소서 하나님께서 부리시는 악령이 왕에게 이를 때에 그가 손으로 타면 왕이 나으시리이다 하는지라

  23.	Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.하나님께서 부리시는 악령이 사울에게 이를 때에 다윗이 수금을 들고 와서 손으로 탄즉 사울이 상쾌하여 낫고 악령이 그에게서 떠나더라

Chapter 17

• 1-11 골리앗이 이스라엘의 군대를 모욕하다 (Goliath Defied the army of Israel)

  1.	Now the Philistines gathered their forces for war and assembled at Socoh in Judah. They pitched camp at Ephes Dammim, between Socoh and Azekah.블레셋 사람들이 그들의 군대를 모으고 싸우고자 하여 유다에 속한 소고에 모여 소고와 아세가 사이의 에베스담밈에 진 치매

  2.	Saul and the Israelites assembled and camped in the Valley of Elah and drew up their battle line to meet the Philistines. 사울과 이스라엘 사람들이 모여서 엘라 골짜기에 진 치고 블레셋 사람들을 대하여 전열을 벌였으니

  10.	Then the Philistine said, "This day I defy the ranks of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other. 그 블레셋 사람이 또 이르되 내가 오늘 이스라엘의 군대를 모욕하였으니 사람을 보내어 나와 더불어 싸우게 하라 한지라

• 12-40 사울의 진영에 나타난 다윗 (David went to the battle field)

  17.	Now Jesse said to his son David, "Take this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp.이새가 그의 아들 다윗에게 이르되 지금 네 형들을 위하여 이 볶은 곡식 한 에바와 이 떡 열 덩이를 가지고 진영으로 속히 가서 네 형들에게 주고

  When Eliab, David's oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, "Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle."큰형 엘리압이 다윗이 사람들에게 하는 말을 들은지라 그가 다윗에게 노를 발하여 이르되 네가 어찌하여 이리로 내려왔느냐 들에 있는 양들을 누구에게 맡겼느냐 나는 네 교만과 네 마음의 완악함을 아노니 네가 전쟁을 구경하러 왔도다

  32.	David said to Saul, "Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him."

• 41-54 다윗이 골리앗을 이기다 (David killed Goliath)

  45.	David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied다윗이 블레셋 사람에게 이르되 너는 칼과 창과 단창으로 내게 나아 오거니와 나는 만군의 여호와의 이름 곧 네가 모욕하는 이스라엘 군대의 하나님의 이름으로 네게 나아가노라

  47.	All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands."또 여호와의 구원하심이 칼과 창에 있지 아니함을 이 무리에게 알게 하리라 전쟁은 여호와께 속한 것인즉 그가 너희를 우리 손에 넘기시리라

  51.

  David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine's sword and drew it from the scabbard. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran.다윗이 달려가서 블레셋 사람을 밟고 그의 칼을 그 칼 집에서 빼내어 그 칼로 그를 죽이고 그의 머리를 베니 블레셋 사람들이 자기 용사의 죽음을 보고 도망하는지라

Chapter 18

• 1-5 다웃과 요나단이 영적으로 하나가 되다. (Jonathan became one in spirit with David)
  

  1.	After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.다윗이 사울에게 말하기를 마치매 요나단의 마음이 다윗의 마음과 하나가 되어 요나단이 그를 자기 생명 같이 사랑하니라

• 16 사울이 시기하여 다윗을 죽이려하다. (Saul becomes jealous of David)

  7.	As they danced, they sang: "Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands여인들이 뛰놀며 노래하여 이르되 사울이 죽인 자는 천천이요 다윗은 만만이로다 한지라

• 17-30 다윗이 사울의 사위가 되다 (David became a son in law of Saul)

  11.	and he hurled it, saying to himself, "I'll pin David to the wall." But David eluded him twice그가 스스로 이르기를 내가 다윗을 벽에 박으리라 하고 사울이 그 창을 던졌으나 다윗이 그의 앞에서 두 번 피하였더라.

  27.

  David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.다윗이 일어나서 그의 부하들과 함께 가서 블레셋 사람 이백 명을 죽이고 그들의 포피를 가져다가 수대로 왕께 드려 왕의 사위가 되고자 하니 사울이 그의 딸 미갈을 다윗에게 아내로 주었더라

Chapter 19

• 1-24 사울이 다윗을 죽이려고 함 (Saul Tries to Kill David)

10.	Saul tried to pin him to the wall with his spear, but David eluded him as Saul drove the spear into the wall. That night David made good his escape.사울이 단창으로 다윗을 벽에 박으려 하였으나 그는 사울의 앞을 피하고 사울의 창은 벽에 박힌지라 다윗이 그 밤에 도피하매

11.	Saul sent men to David's house to watch it and to kill him in the morning. But Michal, David's wife, warned him, "If you don't run for your life tonight, tomorrow you'll be killed."사울이 전령들을 다윗의 집에 보내어 그를 지키다가 아침에 그를 죽이게 하려 한지라 다윗의 아내 미갈이 다윗에게 말하여 이르되 당신이 이 밤에 당신의 생명을 구하지 아니하면 내일에는 죽임을 당하리라 하고

18.	When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went to Naioth and stayed there.다윗이 도피하여 라마로 가서 사무엘에게로 나아가서 사울이 자기에게 행한 일을 다 전하였고 다윗과 사무엘이 나욧으로 가서 살았더라
