열왕기하 6-9장

Chapter 6

• 1-7 엘리사가 물에 빠진 도끼를 건짐 (An Axhead Floats)

  5.	As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. "Oh, my lord," he cried out, "it was borrowed!" 한 사람이 나무를 벨 때에 쇠도끼가 물에 떨어진지라 이에 외쳐 이르되 아아, 내 주여 이는 빌려온 것이니이다 하니

  7.	"Lift it out," he said. Then the man reached out his hand and took it. 이르되 너는 그것을 집으라 하니 그 사람이 손을 내밀어 그것을 집으니라

• 8-23 아람 사람들이 함정에 빠짐 (Elisha Traps Blinded Arameans)

  15.	When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked. 하나님의 사람의 사환이 일찍이 일어나서 나가보니 군사와 말과 병거가 성읍을 에워쌌는지라 그의 사환이 엘리사에게 말하되 아아, 내 주여 우리가 어찌하리이까 하니

  16.	"Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."  대답하되 두려워하지 말라 우리와 함께 한 자가 그들과 함께 한 자보다 많으니라 하고

• 24-33 사마리아 땅의 기근 (Famine in Besieged Samaria)

  24.	Some time later, Ben-Hadad king of Aram mobilized his entire army and marched up and laid siege to Samaria. 이 후에 아람 왕 벤하닷이 그의 온 군대를 모아 올라와서 사마리아를 에워싸니

  25.	There was a great famine in the city; the siege lasted so long that a donkey's head sold for eighty shekels of silver, and a quarter of a cab of seed pods for five shekels. 아람 사람이 사마리아를 에워싸므로 성중이 크게 주려서 나귀 머리 하나에 은 팔십 세겔이요 비둘기 똥 사분의 일 갑에 은 다섯 세겔이라 하니

Chapter 7

• 1-2 엘리사의 예언 (Foretell of Elisa)

  1.	Elisha said, "Hear the word of the LORD. This is what the LORD says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.엘리사가 이르되 여호와의 말씀을 들을지어다 여호와께서 이르시되 내일 이맘때에 사마리아 성문에서 고운 밀가루 한 스아를 한 세겔로 매매하고 보리 두 스아를 한 세겔로 매매하리라 하셨느니라"

• 3-20 아람 군대가 도망하다 (The Siege Lifted)

  9.

  Then they said to each other, "We're not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once and report this to the royal palace." 나병환자들이 그 친구에게 서로 말하되 우리가 이렇게 해서는 아니되겠도다 오늘은 아름다운 소식이 있는 날이거늘 우리가 침묵하고 있도다 만일 밝은 아침까지 기다리면 벌이 우리에게 미칠지니 이제 떠나 왕궁에 가서 알리자 하고

  15.	They followed them as far as the Jordan, and they found the whole road strewn with the clothing and equipment the Arameans had thrown away in their headlong flight. So the messengers returned and reported to the king 그들이 그들의 뒤를 따라 요단에 이른즉 아람 사람이 급히 도망하느라고 버린 의복과 병기가 길에 가득하였더라 사자가 돌아와서 왕에게 알리니

  18.	It happened as the man of God had said to the king: "About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria." 하나님의 사람이 왕에게 말한 바와 같으니 이르기를 내일 이맘 때에 사마리아 성문에서 보리 두 스아를 한 세겔로 매매하고 고운 밀가루 한 스아를 한 세겔로 매매하리라 한즉

  20.	And that is exactly what happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died. 그의 장관에게 그대로 이루어졌으니 곧 백성이 성문에서 그를 밟으매 죽었더라

Chapter 8

• 1-6 수넴 여인의 땅회복 (The Shunammite’s Land Restored)

  3.	At the end of the seven years she came back from the land of the Philistines and went to the king to beg for her house and land.칠 년이 다하매 여인이 블레셋 사람들의 땅에서 돌아와 자기 집과 전토를 위하여 호소하려 하여 왕에게 나아갔더라

  The king asked the woman about it, and she told him. Then he assigned an official to her case and said to him, "Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.왕이 그 여인에게 물으매 여인이 설명한지라 왕이 그를 위하여 한 관리를 임명하여 이르되 이 여인에게 속한 모든 것과 이 땅에서 떠날 때부터 이제까지 그의 밭의 소출을 다 돌려 주라 하였더라"

• 7-15 하사엘이 벤하닷을 죽임 (Hazael Murders Ben-Hadad)

  14.	Then Hazael left Elisha and returned to his master. When Ben-Hadad asked, "What did Elisha say to you?" Hazael replied, "He told me that you would certainly recover."그가 엘리사를 떠나가서 그의 주인에게 나아가니 왕이 그에게 묻되 엘리사가 네게 무슨 말을 하더냐 하니 대답하되 그가 내게 이르기를 왕이 반드시 살아나시리이다 하더이다 하더라

  15.	But the next day he took a thick cloth, soaked it in water and spread it over the king's face, so that he died. Then Hazael succeeded him as king.그 이튿날에 하사엘이 이불을 물에 적시어 왕의 얼굴에 덮으매 왕이 죽은지라 그가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

• 16-24 유다 왕 여호람 (Jehoram King of Judah)

  17.	He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. 여호람이 왕이 될 때에 나이가 삼십이 세라 예루살렘에서 팔 년 동안 통치하니라

  18.	He walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for he married a daughter of Ahab. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD.그가 이스라엘 왕들의 길을 가서 아합의 집과 같이 하였으니 이는 아합의 딸이 그의 아내가 되었음이라 그가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하였으나

• 25-29 유다 왕 아하시야 (Ahaziah King of Judah)

  26.	Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother's name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri king of Israel. 아하시야가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 이십이 세라 예루살렘에서 일 년을 통치하니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 아달랴라 이스라엘 왕 오므리의 손녀이더라

Chapter 9

• 1-13 이스라엘 왕 예후 (Jehu Anointed King of Israel)

  6.	Jehu got up and went into the house. Then the prophet poured the oil on Jehu's head and declared, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: `I anoint you king over the LORD's people Israel.  예후가 일어나 집으로 들어가니 청년이 그의 머리에 기름을 부으며 그에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 내가 네게 기름을 부어 여호와의 백성 곧 이스라엘의 왕으로 삼노니

  13.	They hurried and took their cloaks and spread them under him on the bare steps. Then they blew the trumpet and shouted, "Jehu is king! 무리가 각각 자기의 옷을 급히 가져다가 섬돌 위 곧 예후의 밑에 깔고 나팔을 불며 이르되 예후는 왕이라 하니라"

• 14-29 예후가 요람과 아하시야를 죽임 (Jehu Kills Joram and Ahaziah)

  23.	Joram turned about and fled, calling out to Ahaziah, "Treachery, Ahaziah!" 요람이 곧 손을 돌이켜 도망하며 아하시야에게 이르되 아하시야여 반역이로다 하니

  24.	Then Jehu drew his bow and shot Joram between the shoulders. The arrow pierced his heart and he slumped down in his chariot. 예후가 힘을 다하여 활을 당겨 요람의 두 팔 사이를 쏘니 화살이 그의 염통을 꿰뚫고 나오매 그가 병거 가운데에 엎드러진지라

  27.

  When Ahaziah king of Judah saw what had happened, he fled up the road to Beth Haggan. Jehu chased him, shouting, "Kill him too!" They wounded him in his chariot on the way up to Gur near Ibleam, but he escaped to Megiddo and died there. 유다의 왕 아하시야가 이를 보고 정원의 정자 길로 도망하니 예후가 그 뒤를 쫓아가며 이르되 그도 병거 가운데서 죽이라 하매 이블르암 가까운 구르 비탈에서 치니 그가 므깃도까지 도망하여 거기서 죽은지라

• 30-37 이세벨의 최후 (Jezebel Killed)

  33.	"Throw her down!" Jehu said. So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered the wall and the horses as they trampled her underfoot. 이르되 그를 내려던지라 하니 내려던지매 그의 피가 담과 말에게 튀더라 예후가 그의 시체를 밟으니라

  37.	Jezebel's body will be like refuse on the ground in the plot at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, `This is Jezebel.'" 그 시체가 이스르엘 토지에서 거름같이 밭에 있으리니 이것이 이세벨이라고 가리켜 말하지 못하게 되리라 하셨느니라 하였더라
