열왕기하 1-5장

Chapter 1

• 1-18 엘리야와 아하시야 왕 (The Lord’s Judgment on Ahaziah)

  2.

  Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them, "Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury." 아하시야가 사마리아에 있는 그의 다락 난간에서 떨어져 병들매 사자를 보내며 그들에게 이르되 가서 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 이 병이 낫겠나 물어 보라 하니라

  So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. This third captain went up and fell on his knees before Elijah. "Man of God," he begged, "please have respect for my life and the lives of these fifty men, your servants!왕이 세 번째 오십부장과 그의 군사 오십 명을 보낸지라 셋째 오십부장이 올라가서 엘리야 앞에 이르러 그의 무릎을 꿇어 엎드려 간구하여 이르되 하나님의 사람이여 원하건대 나의 생명과 당신의 종인 이 오십 명의 생명을 당신은 귀히 보소서

  He told the king, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!" 말하되 여호와의 말씀이 네가 사자를 보내 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으려 하니 이스라엘에 그의 말을 물을 만한 하나님이 안 계심이냐 그러므로 네가 그 올라간 침상에서 내려오지 못할지라 네가 반드시 죽으리라 하셨다 하니라

Chapter 2

• 1-18 엘리야가 하늘로 올라가다 (Elijah Taken Up to Heaven)

  1.	When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. 여호와께서 회오리 바람으로 엘리야를 하늘로 올리고자 하실 때에 엘리야가 엘리사와 더불어 길갈에서 나가더니

  11.	As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind 두 사람이 길을 가며 말하더니 불수레와 불말들이 두 사람을 갈라놓고 엘리야가 회오리 바람으로 하늘로 올라가더라

• 19-22 엘리사가 물을 고침 (Healing of the Water)

  21.	Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, "This is what the LORD says: `I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.엘리사가 물 근원으로 나아가서 소금을 그 가운데에 던지며 이르되 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 물을 고쳤으니 이로부터 다시는 죽음이나 열매 맺지 못함이 없을지니라 하셨느니라 하니

• 23-25 엘리사가 조롱당함 (Elisha Is Jeered)

  24.	He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.엘리사가 뒤로 돌이켜 그들을 보고 여호와의 이름으로 저주하매 곧 수풀에서 암곰 둘이 나와서 아이들 중의 사십이 명을 찢었더라

Chapter 3

• 1-27 이스라엘과 모압의 전쟁 (Moab Revolts)

  7.

  He also sent this message to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: "The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?" "I will go with you," he replied. "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."또 가서 유다의 왕 여호사밧에게 사신을 보내 이르되 모압 왕이 나를 배반하였으니 당신은 나와 함께 가서 모압을 치시겠느냐 하니 그가 이르되 내가 올라가리이다 나는 당신과 같고 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 같고 내 말들도 당신의 말들과 같으니이다 하는지라

  18.	This is an easy thing in the eyes of the LORD; he will also hand Moab over to you 이것은 여호와께서 보시기에 작은 일이라 여호와께서 모압 사람도 당신의 손에 넘기시리니

  24.	But when the Moabites came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and fought them until they fled. And the Israelites invaded the land and slaughtered the Moabites.이스라엘 진에 이르니 이스라엘 사람이 일어나 모압 사람을 쳐서 그들 앞에서 도망하게 하고 그 지경에 들어가며 모압 사람을 치고

Chapter 4

• 1-7 과부의 기름 그릇 (The Widow’s Olive Oil)

  1.

  The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, "Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves." 선지자의 제자들의 아내 중의 한 여인이 엘리사에게 부르짖어 이르되 당신의 종 나의 남편이 이미 죽었는데 당신의 종이 여호와를 경외한 줄은 당신이 아시는 바니이다 이제 빚 준 사람이 와서 나의 두 아이를 데려가 그의 종을 삼고자 하나이다 하니

  7.	She went and told the man of God, and he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left." 그 여인이 하나님의 사람에게 나아가서 말하니 그가 이르되 너는 가서 기름을 팔아 빚을 갚고 남은 것으로 너와 네 두 아들이 생활하라 하였더라

• 8-37 엘리사와 수넴 여인 (The Shunammite’s Son Restored to Life)

  8.	One day Elisha went to Shunem. And a well-to-do woman was there, who urged him to stay for a meal. So whenever he came by, he stopped there to eat. 하루는 엘리사가 수넴에 이르렀더니 거기에 한 귀한 여인이 그를 간권하여 음식을 먹게 하였으므로 엘리사가 그 곳을 지날 때마다 음식을 먹으러 그리로 들어갔더라

  13.

  Elisha said to him, "Tell her, `You have gone to all this trouble for us. Now what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?'" She replied, "I have a home among my own people." 엘리사가 자기 사환에게 이르되 너는 그에게 이르라 네가 이같이 우리를 위하여 세심한 배려를 하는도다 내가 너를 위하여 무엇을 하랴 왕에게나 사령관에게 무슨 구할 것이 있느냐 하니 여인이 이르되 나는 내 백성 중에 거주하나이다 하니라

  16.	"About this time next year," Elisha said, "you will hold a son in your arms." "No, my lord," she objected. "Don't mislead your servant, O man of God!" 엘리사가 이르되 한 해가 지나 이 때쯤에 네가 아들을 안으리라 하니 여인이 이르되 아니로소이다 내 주 하나님의 사람이여 당신의 계집종을 속이지 마옵소서 하니라

  32.	When Elisha reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on his couch

  34.	Then he got on the bed and lay upon the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands. As he stretched himself out upon him, the boy's body grew warm.

  37.	She came in, fell at his feet and bowed to the ground. Then she took her son and went out.

• 38-41 국 속의 독을 없앰 (Death in the Pot)

  41.	Elisha said, "Get some flour." He put it into the pot and said, "Serve it to the people to eat." And there was nothing harmful in the pot. 엘리사가 이르되 그러면 가루를 가져오라 하여 솥에 던지고 이르되 퍼다가 무리에게 주어 먹게 하라 하매 이에 솥 가운데 독이 없어지니라

• 42-44 엘리사가 100명을 먹임 (Feeding of a Hundred)

  43.	"How can I set this before a hundred men?" his servant asked. But Elisha answered, "Give it to the people to eat. For this is what the LORD says: `They will eat and have some left over.'그 사환이 이르되 내가 어찌 이것을 백 명에게 주겠나이까 하나 엘리사는 또 이르되 무리에게 주어 먹게 하라 여호와의 말씀이 그들이 먹고 남으리라 하셨느니라"

Chapter 5

• 1-27나아만이 고침을 받다 (Naaman Healed of Leprosy)

  3.	She said to her mistress, "If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy."그의 여주인에게 이르되 우리 주인이 사마리아에 계신 선지자 앞에 계셨으면 좋겠나이다 그가 그 나병을 고치리이다 하는지라

  10.	Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, "Go, wash yourself seven time 엘리사가 사자를 그에게 보내 이르되 너는 가서 요단 강에 몸을 일곱 번 씻으라 네 살이 회복되어 깨끗하리라 하는지라

  14.	So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.나아만이 이에 내려가서 하나님의 사람의 말대로 요단 강에 일곱 번 몸을 잠그니 그의 살이 어린 아이의 살 같이 회복되어 깨끗하게 되었더라

  20.

  Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself, "My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the LORD lives, I will run after him and get something from him."하나님의 사람 엘리사의 사환 게하시가 스스로 이르되 내 주인이 이 아람 사람 나아만에게 면하여 주고 그가 가지고 온 것을 그의 손에서 받지 아니하였도다 여호와께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하노니 내가 그를 쫓아가서 무엇이든지 그에게서 받으리라 하고

  27.	Naaman's leprosy will cling to you and to your descendants forever." Then Gehazi went from Elisha's presence and he was leprous, as white as snow.그러므로 나아만의 나병이 네게 들어 네 자손에게 미쳐 영원토록 이르리라 하니 게하시가 그 앞에서 물러나오매 나병이 발하여 눈같이 되었더라
