Acts 26 : 1-12

하나님이 약속하신 소망, 부활의 주님을 증언하다

26 So Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense:그때 아그립바가 바울에게 말했습니다. “네 자신을 위해 변호할 것을 허락하노라.” 그러자 바울은 손을 들어 변호를 시작했습니다. 2 “I consider myself fortunate that it is before you, King Agrippa, I am going to make my defense today against all the accusations of the Jews,“아그립바 왕이여, 제가 오늘 당신 앞에 서서 유대 사람들의 모든 모함에 대해 저 자신을 변호하게 된 것을 다행으로 여깁니다.

 3 especially because you are familiar with all the customs and controversies of the Jews. Therefore I beg you to listen to me patiently.특히 왕께서는 모든 유대 관습과 문제에 대해 잘 알고 계시니 더욱 그렇습니다. 그러니 제 말을 끝까지 들어 주시기를 간절히 바랍니다. 4 “My manner of life from my youth, spent from the beginning among my own nation and in Jerusalem, is known by all the Jews.유대 사람들은 제가 어릴 적부터 제 고향과 예루살렘에서 어떻게 살아왔는지 다 알고 있습니다. 5 They have known for a long time, if they are willing to testify, that according to the strictest party of our religion I have lived as a Pharisee. 그들은 오랫동안 저를 알았고 제가 우리 종교의 가장 엄격한 종파를 좇아 바리새파 사람으로서 어떻게 살았는지 증명할 수도 있을 것입니다.6 And now I stand here on trial because of my hope in the promise made by God to our fathers, 그런데 제가 오늘 재판을 받는 것은 하나님께서 우리 조상들에게 약속하신 것에 소망을 두고 있기 때문입니다.7 to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly worship night and day. And for this hope I am accused by Jews, O king!이것은 우리 열두 지파가 밤낮으로 하나님을 열심히 섬기면서 이뤄지기를 바라던 바로 그 약속입니다. 왕이여, 바로 이 소망 때문에 유대 사람들이 저를 고소하고 있는 것입니다. 8 Why is it thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?여러분은 왜 하나님께서 죽은 사람을 다시 살리신다는 것을 믿지 못할 일로 생각합니까?

9 “I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth. 저도 한때는 나사렛 예수의 이름을 반대하기 위해서라면 무엇이든 다해야 한다고 확신했던 사람입니다. 10 And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote against them.제가 예루살렘에서 했던 일이 바로 그런 일입니다. 대제사장들의 권한을 받아 많은 성도들을 감옥에 가두었고 그들이 죽임을 당할 때 찬성했습니다 11 And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.여러 회당들을 다니며 그들을 여러 번 처벌했으며 강제로 그들에게 모독하는 말을 하도록 했습니다. 그들에게 격분한 나머지 다른 나라 도시까지도 찾아가 핍박했습니다.12 “In this connection I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests 그런 일로 다니던 가운데 나는 대제사장들의 권한을 위임받아 다메섹으로 가고 있었습니다.
